What types of businesses do you work with?
I usually work with beauty clinics, wellness professionals, skincare brands and small lifestyle businesses across New Zealand. Most clients come to me when things feel messy or outdated online and they’re ready for a website, brand or digital support that actually helps their business grow.
How do I know if I need a rebrand or just a refresh?
If your branding feels disconnected from where your business is heading, or you cringe every time you see your logo, a rebrand might be the right move. If your core branding is still solid, but things feel inconsistent, a refresh is usually enough. If you’re not sure, I’m always happy to look at what you have and guide you in the right direction.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I totally get it, design and website projects are a big investment, so payment plans are available. We organise this during the proposal stage so you feel comfortable with the timeline and budget.
Can I work with you if I already have a logo?
Absolutely. If your logo is still strong and aligns with your business, we can build everything else around it. If it no longer represents who you are, I’ll gently recommend a refresh or a new direction. I’ll always be honest about what will serve your business best.
How involved will I be in the design process?
You’ll be involved at every key stage. I’ll guide you through the content and prep work, you review your Homepage mock up, and you give feedback during design. It is collaborative, but calm and structured. You’re never left guessing what comes next.
What platforms do you build websites on?
I primarily build on Shopify, I’m a registered Shopify Partner, but I also work with WordPress, Squarespace and BigCommerce for clients who already have those systems. Shopify is my recommended platform for most service and product based businesses because it is flexible, secure and grows easily with you.
Do you offer copywriting?
Yes. Copywriting can be added on, but all website packages include a DIY Website Copywriting Guide to help you write your content in your own voice. If the writing feels not right, or you want something more polished, I can take it off your plate.
Is SEO included in your website packages?
Every website includes foundational SEO to help you get started. This covers heading structure, meta descriptions, alt text, image optimisation and a submitted sitemap. If you want deeper SEO support or ongoing visibility work, this can be added to your package.
Will I be able to update my website myself?
If you want to! You will receive personalised training, either as a video or a live walkthrough, so you feel confident updating your website yourself. This includes managing products, editing text and making basic changes without needing a developer.
Can you help redesign my existing website?
If your current site feels tired, confusing or doesn’t really represent your business anymore, I can help with a full redesign or strategic refresh. We will review what is working, what is not, and rebuild something that supports your growth.
What if I need new designs later on?
Many clients return for ongoing support. I offer design days and monthly support for things like menus, brochures, social media graphics, campaigns, ecommerce updates and general digital maintenance. You don’t need to book a big project every time you need help.
How much does it cost to work with Maglev Studios?
It depends on the scope. Website projects start with two main pathways: a template based Shopify build or a fully custom Shopify website. Branding packages also range depending on whether you need a simple logo or a full identity. Once we talk about your goals, I will send you a tailored proposal with pricing and timelines.
How do I know I will like the design?
We start with strategy and a clear creative direction, then you approve your Homepage mock up before the full build. You also have revision rounds built in, so there is plenty of space to refine and adjust until the design feels right for you.
Can you design Canva templates for my business?
Yes. Custom Canva templates are available as an add on and are especially helpful if you want your social media or client documents to match your branding and feel consistent.
How do we get started?

Is Maglev Studios only for Canterbury based businesses?
Not at all, while I am based in Canterbury, I work with brands all across New Zealand. Everything runs smoothly online, and the process works beautifully whether you are local or on the other side of the country.
