WEBSITE DESIGN SERVICE
Website design matters
It’s time you had a polished, professional website without turning it into a long, drawn-out project.
I design custom websites for service businesses in New Zealand and Australia who care about how their brand is experienced. I’m all about creating you an online space that works as your 24/7 employee, selling to your clients even when you’re busy.
My Website in a Week is a streamlined way to get a strategic, well-designed website in place quickly, with the structure and support to make the process feel clear, right from the start.

I don't do templates, and it's not AI.
This package is for established service businesses that might already have clients, reputation, and direction, but your website still feels a wee bit embarrassing. It’s like having a Gmail as your business email… no, you’re better than that.
I know a website in a week sounds fast, but this isn’t a template AI slop-fest. The process works because we do the thinking first. Your content, your brand, your client journey and your website structure are all planned before the website build week begins, so when I sit down to create the site, I’m not guessing.
This is a partnership: I know websites, you know your business. You know what your clients ask all the time, what they care about, and what makes people choose you. I bring the structure, the strategy and the 15 years of building websites brain. Together, we turn all of that into something clear, polished and properly useful.
the process
Stage 1. Discovery Call
Before anything else, we start with a simple Discovery phone call chat. You and me, talking about your business, your goals, and what you want your website to actually do for you. You talk, I take notes, and together we get clear on what you’re hoping for.
This is also where we make sure we’re actually a good fit. If I feel that I’m not right for the results you’re looking for, I’ll always be honest about it, and can help point you in the right direction. Sometimes that looks like suggesting a different path as the next steps, or recommending someone else who might be better suited. The goal is to make sure you get the outcome you deserve.
Stage 2. Gather the Good Stuff
Sorry, you do get homework! Once your proposal and contract are accepted, and your first payment is made, you’ll receive your Website Content Workbook. This walks you through gathering your words, images, services, brand details and all the bits and pieces I need before we can book your build week. I hate staring at a blank page, so I get how daunting this can feel. This provides you with clear prompts that can help you find the right words in your own voice. I can always help tweak things if you’re not feeling confident here.
While you’re preparing your content, I’ll be organising everything behind the scenes to get read for Build Week. I’ll plan your page structure, map out your client journey, review your competitors, look at what your audience responds to, and prep the entire build with strategy so it feels smooth and stress free.
Stage 3. Website Build Week
Build week starts with your Monday Kickoff Call. We’ll go over your supplied content, confirm the direction, and make sure we’re on the same page before I begin. I’ll build the full Homepage first, then send it through on Tuesday for review so we can check the style, layout and overall feel before the rest of the website is created. It gives us both a chance to confirm make sure it feels right.
Once your Homepage is approved, on Wednesday the full build begins! I get head down and build out each page. These are usually Home, Services, About and Contact, as well as an extra flexible page to use as you need. By Thursday afternoon, you’ll receive the entire website to review as well as a video walk through.
Stage 4. Launch 🚀
My favourite part, Fri-yay! When everything is ready, it’s time to prepare your site for launch. I’ll sanity check every button, form and page so your website feels seamless from the moment it goes live. We’ll have our final check in meeting together just to make sure that we’ve crossed everything off the list.
This is also when I’ll give you a walkthrough of your website with me so you know exactly how to update content or make simple changes on your own if you want to.
Then… LAUNCH!
It’s time to post that new website social, send that “come check us out” email newsletter, and let all your clients know your new digital space is open for business. Woohoo!
Don’t worry, I won’t just dump you in it and ghost! After launch, you’ll receive your website handover pack with your guide, login details and recorded walkthrough, so you know where everything is and how to make small updates.
You’ll also have two weeks of follow up support for any little tweaks and fixes, and if you want occasional help in the future, you will always have me available as your business grows. I’m invested now too!
Not quite feeling a full website refresh?
Sometimes, a website needs a wee tune-up to get it back up to speed.
With a VIP Design Day, that might look like adding in few pages, layout tweaks, or rebuilding sections so everything flows properly. No point rebuilding the whole thing if a good tidy-up will do the job.
The VIP Design Day costs $800, and includes 6 full booked out hours, just for you and your to-do list. If you’re not sure what you need, send through an enquiry and I’ll tell you honestly.

Michelle did a very good job for Satini Cosmetic Clinic. When she started with us, she suggested to revamp our website, which drove a lot more traffic to it. As a result, our customer numbers increased quickly. She created beautiful Facebook Ads and posts that provided valuable information to our customers and drove traffic into our clinic. We highly recommend working with Maglev Studios if you want to grow your business. Thank you, Michelle

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I’m not sure this is the right fit?
That’s no worries! That’s what the free Discovery Call is for. Once we’ve had a chat, I’ll let you know honestly whether Website in a Week is the best option, or if a VIP Design Day or a different approach would make more sense for you.
Do I need to have my branding sorted before we start?
Yes, you’ll need your logo, colour palette and fonts ready before we begin, as Website in a Week is a fast, structured process. It’s okay if you don’t have this sorted yet, we’ll just need to design your brand before the Website project can start. We can do this through the Mini Brand Add-on or a Full Brand Package, so we have a clear foundation to build from.
Do I need to have all my website content written?
Your content doesn’t need to be perfect, but it does need to be prepared before build week. Once your proposal is accepted and your first payment is made, you’ll receive a Website Content Workbook to guide you through your words, images, services and key details so everything is ready to go.
How far in advance should I book? Do I have to be available the entire Build Week?
I recommend allowing at least two weeks before your build week to prepare your content. During build week, you’ll just need to be available for two key review points, your homepage early in the week, and the full website later in the week, so we can keep everything moving smoothly.
Can I add extra features like a shop or blog?
Yes. Ecommerce and Blog setup are both available as add-ons. Ecommerce includes your shop, product pages, payments and checkout, while the blog add-on includes a styled blog area and post template. These are completed outside of your main build week so everything is set up properly. You’ll be able to select these in the proposal stage.
Do you write the website copy for me?
No, full copywriting isn’t included, but I do guide you through it. You’ll use the Website Content Workbook to write your content, and I’ll lightly edit and format it during the build so it flows well on your website.
What platform do you use?
Website in a Week is built in WordPress. It gives us the flexibility to create a custom, professional website that’s easy for you to update, with a solid foundation as your business grows. If you know you’ll have a large amount of products and need the Ecommerce Add-on, I’ll recommend we build in Shopify instead.
What happens after my website goes live?
After launch, you’ll receive your website handover pack with your guide, login details and a recorded walkthrough. You’ll also have 2 working weeks of follow-up support for small tweaks or questions, and you can book ongoing support anytime if you need a hand later on.

Meet your Designer...
Hi, I’m Michelle, your new behind-the-scenes design partner for all things websites, e-commerce, branding and graphic design in the digital space.
After five years working as Web Manager and Senior Designer with Probeauty, one of New Zealand’s leading skincare distributors with thousands of products, plus four years supporting brands directly, I see the same thing over and over: amazing businesses held back by outdated websites, messy marketing, generic online stores, or email systems that… don’t actually do anything helpful.
Think of me as the person who helps get your digital side running smoothly so you can focus on your clients and your business.
